JW Foundation Cup 2025 set to kick off with record breaking participation

The highly anticipated Joseph Waswa Foundation Cup is gearing up for its second edition, promising to be more thrilling than ever. Scheduled to kick off on August 30th, the tournament has attracted an unprecedented number of teams, with over 40 squads registering to compete for the coveted title.

This year’s edition is shaping up to be the most competitive yet, with a significant increase in the prize money for the winner. The champions will walk away with a whopping Ksh 500,000, a substantial jump from the Ksh 300,000 offered in the inaugural edition.

Sitikhó Ward has been confirmed as the host of the launch, adding to the excitement building up to the tournament. According to Isaac Wanjekeche, the foundation’s Programmes Director, the event promises to be an electrifying experience for fans and participants alike.
